Finding coverage for medications necessary in the treatment of congenital ichthyosis
Update: 8/7 We have gone through the second review with the State Health Plan & have been told the only way to have Ethan's items covered is for the NC General Assembly to change benefits for the case of congenital ichthyosis. We would love help in writing NC state representatives. If you don't mind the cost of a stamp or your time to e-mail, here is a sample letter to help Ethan's Cause.

Insurance has refused to cover Ethan's medically necessary over the counter items! Many other medically necessary OTC items (i.e. insulin) are covered by insurance for other insured individuals.
