About to be a Momma!
November 19
Right after I caught Ethan.
Dad gets his turn!
Ethan's ID bracelets had to be cut off quickly, as he was swelling & the bracelets started to cut into his skin.

After an umbilical catheterization, Ethan was transferred to Wake Forest's Brenner's Children's Hospital NICU. Dr. Yosipovitch, Ethan's dermatologist came in the night he was born & diagnosed his condition as "collodion baby"
Finally getting to hold Ethan again after a long night away from him. I went home when Ethan was transferred (about an hour after he was born) & slept at home before going to see him. I needed to have a good sleep where I could be there for Ethan as best I could.
After discussing several options with Ethan's excellent care team, it was decided to only have Ethan in a humidified & temperature controlled isolette & to have puralube put in his eyes.
